Dartford Borough Council are offering vouchers and grants to support coronation parties
For the first time in more than 70 years, the world is about to witness the coronation of a new British monarch.
Over the Bank Holiday weekend starting Saturday, May 5th, the country will be celebrating the crowning of King Charles III. Of course, Dartford Borough Council is arranging its own events, but they also want to support local street parties and activities taking place right across the Borough.
That's why DBC offering £100 supermarket vouchers for small neighbourhood parties and grants of up to £500 for bigger community events organised by local Parish Councils and large community groups.
Applications for funding are still open.
If you're closing a road as part of your celebrations, you will need to apply to Kent County Council, which is accepting applications until March 3rd.
